New - Blood test readings - help please - 2007/06/06 23:05
Hm.. My brother is very built as well, he is a former academic rower (just stoped doing it since he went to university). He was often tired and in a bad mood as well. His blood level was normal (5,6). Though in your case i am not sure if it's something wrong but i suggest you consult an expert (a doctor that specializes in diabetes i mean) because there are various reasons that lead to diabetes (type 2 more often) one of which is believed to be stress. Besides, if he would have diabetes now his level would have been so much more than just 8 (i suspect that it's measured by mmol/l). The first thing i'd like you to note if he uses any aditionals (protein) or however they are called in english so that it would be easyer to grow muscles. Sometimes these things after ussage can give false readings. If he does use them try cutting of them and trying the test a few days later, if not just try the test a few days later. By the way, what kind of glucometer were you using? Some might start giving slightly false readings after a very long usage. Since his father is diabetic it can also be theorized that his organizm on a few occasions has problems absorbing insulin.
That's my theory. Anyone correct me if i am mistaken. ---------
