    Stinging and insulin injections

I was on 22u of Lantus till my DSN called today now I am on 28u from today.
My problem is I get bad stinging from the injection sites.
I rotate sites but its even worse in the thighs.

Does anyone have any tips how to deal with it?

When I used lantus(I don't anymore because I got a pump), my doctor said to inject it slowly or it would sting. It only happened to me once and I went slower after that! Go slowly!

Hm.. I'm still using lantus, and i don't realy know how to go slowly with that injector  but i suggest that after each injection you rub the injection spot so that all the insulin would dispers equily and would let the "hole" heal up...

+1 for rubbing the injection location, specifically in a circle surrounding the spot. This will cause the insulin to spread out and significantly helped decrease bruising when I was taking injections in the thigh.

I have since moved to a pump and no longer suffer bruises.
