glyburide and metformin use

hey any one out there taking metformin and glyburide? I'm wondering if you've encounterd any side effects. I am a newly diagnosed diabtic type 2. Any feedback on these drugs would be greatly appreciated :wink:

Yes, I did take both. Metformin is usually leading to diarrhea for the first week or two. Also a slight loss of weight can happen. I don't know about any other side effects. For me it went back to normal in a week. Never had any other problem since.

As for Glyburide ( diabeta ) I stopped taking it after a couple of months as I was having hypos everyday, often twice a day.
