on MSNBC- Sleeping too little, or too long, tied to diabetes

On MSNBC there's an article sating that getting too little or too much sleep may increase a person's risk of developing type 2 diabetes...

You think this could be true?

Well, I would wait for more studies on the same subject to believe in it. Of course, when your blood sugar is high, it is one of the symptoms to be sleepy so ... perhaps that's undiagnosed people who sleep more than 8 hours....

I wish they would take the funds to study ways to heal instead of the every day life habits which are anyway too late to change.

I bet they spend a lot of money in research for medications and healing.
I also think that it's very important to know if we can prevent the disease and how, for the sake of our children.

As for the research itself - it make sense, since maybe when you sleep the body acts differently with regards to insulin. I know that bones are growing during sleep for example.
