    pre pregnancy

Hi all, I'm new to all this forum stuff so pls bear with! I'm 30 (just) and have had diabetes since i was 10 BOOO! I've not always had "PERFECT' control but i am trying - HARD! Now i've decided i wanna start a family :woohoo: but my HBA1C sits around 8 ish. I'm terrified that I wont be able to conceive or have a healthy pregnancy or that my baby will have diabetes:unsure: Can anyone give me a wee bit of reassurance??????

    pre pregnancy

Hello and welcome to the forums.

8 isn't dead bad, but from what I've heard a little bit lower is better for pregnancy... Can't really tell you myself right now since I am not a father and don't personally know diabetic mothers

    Hi Mindii
I am a mother myself and I think being a mother is the best thing I've done in my life. Taking care of your children is very exhausting but it is very sweet as well, it gives my life a meaning. The best you will experience ever when your child looks at you and says "Mama, I love you".
Well, I’ve done a little search and I found a great article about "before pregnancy" in American Diabetes Association, here is its link http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-...pregnancy.html

Well I think this is not a big problem I f your pregnancy will start and you have diabetes then you just take care about your health and also concentrate on your food. Taking care of your children is very exhausting but it is very sweet as well.
