Recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes?
A nationwide clinical research study is being conducted to find out whether an investigational agent can help preserve your body’s ability to make insulin.
You may qualify if you:
• Are 18 to 35 years of age
• Have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes within the last ten weeks
If you qualify and choose to participate, you will receive an initial consultation, study-related examinations, and investigational agent at no cost to you. Compensation for time and travel will be provided.

Recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes?
Hello and welcome defend (hopefully not a script meant to write this message on all forums relate to diabetes).
As for the announcement itself:
You mentioned nationalwide — please make it more concrete since members are not from arround the world. Since that was neglected I checked on the site and this is the list i found:
United States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
Furthermore if anyone IS interested from the mentioned countries watch the interactive presentation on their website.
Personally I think that there were to many "it is thought" and "should" although it's an experiment and those are expected... The bigest shock was that it's not known how it will work and only a theory of how it could work... And wasn't something similar already done? Besides when T1 is diagnosed ussually a lot of cells are already destroyed, meaning that insulin will not be produced at full capacity like a normal person either way...
Personaly I think that would require more atention when controling diabetes since the effect can wear down and the beta cells would be destroyed eventually... But that's only a theory on my side
