BLOOD GLUCOSE OF 522 THIS MORINING
I really did it this time. I had Pizza and a salad for dinner. Balsamic dressing. I then had a snack at about 12:00am of Honey Bunches of Oats (Really Big Bowl) topped off with a lot of honey. I added a banana to the cereal as well. I spent the night tossing and turning and getting up every two hours to pee. I awoke at 6:10am and had a blood glucose level of 522. I feel like dookey and took double my medication this morning. It is starting to come down but I am really frustrated and embarrased that I can't seem to accept that I am diabetic and need to control my food intake. Anybody else have this problem?

BLOOD GLUCOSE OF 522 THIS MORINING
Hello and welcome to the forums.
I can't understand what is your problem? In any case I will try to cover both posibilities I can see:
1) If you have such a high glucose level and are throwing up you MUST check your ketoacidosis. If you do not have the means, go to a clinic. There is a high possibility that you have high ammounts of ketoacidosis in wich case your organism must be cleansed apropriately and doubling the medication might not be enough.
2) If the problem is accepting the fact that you are a diabetic, then make sure someone looks out that you don't eat out of place what isn't needed. Try talking with other diabetics and ask arround how they got over their problems. From my own point of view: i still eat a lot, but seeing how I cannot sometimes stop thinking about food (oh that glorious tasty food  ) then I counter what I eat with insulin, though not sure what to do if it's type 2. You need to learn either a way to count exactly how much you eat and maintain that ammount, or find a way to counter it. You can ask arround here more or go to your doctor and consult with him/her.

Be careful. It is really dangerous. Imagine so many people around the globe are diabetics and they too lead good lives. U hv to train ur mind to accept the fact that u r a dibetic. Life is not that difficult.A diabetic can work more than a non-diabetic if proper precautions are taken.Wish u all d best.
