Raw Food Diet
My name is James and have benn diabetic since 1994. I've been getting progressively worse as the years go by. I recently heard about the raw food diet and decided to give it a try. I've been on it for only 4 days so it's too early to tell. I'll try the program for a minimum of thirty days to see what happens. Look for progress reports if you'dmlike to try it.

Raw Food Diet
Hello James, welcome to the forum
You mean using this diet in addition to your medicines I hope?
I also heard about it and am very curious to hear about your experiences with it. Thank you for letting us know

Re:Raw Food Diet
Of course you must remain on medication with the goal of weaning yourself off them. My readings have dropped considerably but not enough to stop insulin, but I am using less.
I got on this precisely because my medication was increasing and was less effective. Although I exercise daily and (believed) I was eating well.

After only five days I've seen marked improvement. I will continue to report on a regular basis.

Re:Raw Food Diet
James, thank you very much for that. I think it is immensely important for people to keep each other updated on progress on different kinds of alternate supplementary methods in order to not fall into a pit wherein medicine will finally have no effect anymore.
This sounds like a great natural way of trying to reach that goal.

Re:Raw Food Diet
Hello, welcome, I am back from camp!
Great that you are trying different stuff, but remember, that monitoring your sugar levels weill not be enough. You need to check your health and often it can be difficult psychologicaly using diets when you don't eat anything you like. Here we eat anything and everything we like. Like Accu-Check symbol says Check-Analize-Do.

Post edited by: Vytautas, at: 2008/08/24 10:20
