Hello everyone. I just joined the forum. I was diagnosed a little more than 2 weeks ago with T2 Diabetes. I haven't really come to terms with the diagnosis. I'm still in denial sometimes, but I have changed eating habits & exercise a little. I am seeking whatever information I can find to help me understand Diabetes...what the numbers mean, what my goals should be as far as keeping the numbers withing appropriate ranges, how to keep glucose levels down, etc.. I welcome any information you wish to give me to help me resolve my apprehensions.

My denial is because my doctor hasn't given me any information whatsoever. My levels have never gone over 169. The only A1C I've had in my life was 6.2%. I believe the more information I gather, the sooner I can come to terms with my diabetes. I have been searching the web during this entire time, but I encounter so much conflicting information. Hopefully, this forum will get me in contact with people who have experienced my apprehensions initially. Then hopefully, those individuals can share with me about how they worked through issues. Then of course, hopefully I'll be blessed to have some contact with individuals who have a lot of experience with these issues, & they are willing to share all that wisdom & knowledge.

    Thanks to all.

Hi Chuckster679 and welcome to the forums.

Right now i'm at my cousins so i don't have access to my favourite websites where i have a website with the table with the desired glucose levels in bot mg/dl and in mmol/l (i use the mmol/l). There's no reason to deny diabetes, since it's not going to ruin your life (hate this bloody keyboard). I myself am T1 and don't relly know too much about T2. I will let others give more info and later add something if i see that it's missing.
