Hello everyone, I have been diabetic for seven years now; I am 54 and in serious trouble. We are working on getting my numbers down. Right now they are off the charts, 600+ most days. Didn't realize that someday, I would be the one struggling.

Hi cfrost,
Welcome to the forum! Are you Type 2? There are a lot of factors that will combine to get your numbers down, a definite lifestyle change but you can do it! Have you met with a Nutritionist? Are you able to get any cardiovascular activities in (ie. walks)? Are you on insulin or a pump?
If you have any questions, we're here to offer help and support... be sure to nose around and let us know if there're any questions we may be able to help with. Stay positive and take it one day at a time, enjoying each success.
Good luck to you!

Post edited by: karen1976, at: 2008/02/12 00:13

Hello and welcome to the forums,
everything is said above by karen. I will add my say in the matter that you can get those numbers down if you try hard enough. We'll be waiting for that info so we can help more

Cfrost welcome to the forum. Karen said it all (and much better than I can ever do) - so the only thing I'd like to add is that I hope you will like it here
