Real Time
Hello everyone,
I just started the real time although I have been on the pump already for about 5 years. I'm kind of overwhelmed. How long does it take to get comfortable with??? Thanks!!

Re:Real Time
Hello and welcome to the forums arosen,
Hm... Not sure... I think it shouldn't take too long since you are already comfortable with a catheter inside your body, what does another one mean? But rememeber to follow the rules: inject it far enough away from the insulin catheter so the data is not wrong. Plus i have heard replies that the data given back by real time is a bit off (~15 minutes late or something) because it uses body fluid instead of blood (or so i heard) but that affects only those that have their blood sugers very unstable, further investigation would be needed.
Anyway it's good to hear arosen, best of luck getting used to it.

Re:Real Time
Arosen welcome here. I cannot add anything to what Vytautas already said and join him in wishing you the best of luck getting used to it.

Real alert systems are used by many doctors for their patients and I think these alert systems are more concerned for senior patients who need to be helped when they are not in-person with a doctor. These systems can communicate with the doctors and proper medications could be provided.
