Low BG endearments
Has anyone noticed how many terms of endearment are high carb?
Sweetie, sweetie pie, sugar, honey bun?
Is there a low carb endearment for a diabetic lover?

Never though about that as in French we don't use those. That makes me think of the DIVAbetics site where I found a quote I like: Sugar's the bitch. Not me.

Strange,
I think it's because when people love someone VERY much, they feel like they want to eat him... and what is better to eat than something sweet?
How many times have you heard people say "oh my god, this baby is so sweet, I can just eat him"...

Gemstone: What endearments do French speaking people use? Is there one we could translate and borrow?
cowgirl: great response! I’m impressed. I don’t think I’ll risk addressing someone as ‘porkie’ but there are times when ‘you big cheesy bear’ may be suitable for my husband LOL.
Anita: I know what you mean about babies. My grandmother would say ‘isn’t she a delicious little dumpling?’
There is a story (probably an urban myth) that a lip-reader claims that Prince Philip leaned towards the Queen at some long-winded official event and murmured ‘buck up cabbage’. Now there’s a low carb low GI endearment!

Sharah,
Mon petit chou à la crème... my little cream puff would be one... beside that nothing comes to mind... not that we don't have them but they lose a lot in the translation.
