Another Newbie Here!

Hello Everyone,

Guess I should intro myself and tell you a bit about myself.
My name is Donna, I'm married (for 28 years), have one daughter and I am a retired Truck Driver. I was diagnosted with Type 2 on Oct 2 of this year and decided that trying to get a handle on this and driving was just too stressful, so now my husband drives solo and I stay home. I hope to be able to go back out and ride with him, once I get things under control. I am not taking meds at this time but go back to the DR on the 15th of Nov and we'll see what happens then.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully getting a handle on this, with your help

While you're not taking meds are you feeling OK? I also hope you will be able to get back on that road soon, it seems to me very difficult to suddenly have to stay home when being used to be on the go

don't be too worried, diabetes is not that big of a trouble, people live their entire lives with it. Keep your chin up and your fingers crossed. Oh and before you go on meds you could try to eat more healthy food (provided that you don't eat enough of it (you know, vegetables and fruit) and less food like hamburgers or fries)

Hope everything's alright for you and you can get back to what you are used to soon.

Thanks for the welcome Blair - yes, I've been feeling fine and my numbers have been coming down - slowly but surely. I won't going back out on the road for a bit and when I do, it will be to ride as a passenger. I sure do miss it but it's nice to be home too..........
