:woohoo: Always glad to find a place where others can chat about the very samething you go through daily knowing your not alone. I was dx july 23rd 1976 just before my 13th b-day. I have had T1 for 31 yrs now so far no major compilcations. I am on a Cozmore insulin pump and use Apidra insulin.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Lots of great people here! I, too, am Type 1... though just diagnosed a few years ago and am still trying to get a handle on things. So much more to consider when you're diabetic!

Speaking of which, I've been considering a pump (for better control)... do you like it?

    Take care!

    Karen

Hey Joanna, I agree with Blair -- great name! (not that I don't like sweetsarabear, hehe) Thanks for the info! How long have you been on the pump for?

Time to go out and finish the landscaping... the mulch just arrived and it's time to go sweat my butt off. Hope everyone has a great day!

PS. And Blair, great name choice!

Post edited by: karen1976, at: 2007/08/08 15:02

How's the weather where you're at, Karen? Because here I find it too hot and even avoid going outside if I can.

Post edited by: Blair, at: 2007/08/08 18:03

Hey, just came in... omg, it is HOT out there! 36 degrees right now, before humidity... it REALLY zaps you. Got the mulch all laid down and a bit of a tan to boot! I'm in for the night now and plan enjoying the AC...

Haven't needed insulin so far all day with all the hard work! NICE!

Sara is my dog's name. Her nick name is Sarabear lol ! She has the body of a small greyhound like a whippet and her head is larger than a greyhound more like a chow and she has black spots on her tounge ! Very smart and loving.

That's great Karen, really ! Must give you a sense of accomplishment I think to have fulfilled what you were set out to do while circumstances (weather) are not very cooperative

Joanna, she sounds really very sweet I am trying to picture her. Is she a crossing between a greyhound and a chow?
