The Mini Med Paradigm REAL-Time System

Hi,Shadow!I am on this system for already 2 months ,but I am disappointed with it.I don't know when to trust it and when not. Some days its reading(BG)are correct, some are not.Sorry if it sounds not so nice, but I am sure they will approve it, so there is a hope!

saw my dr. today, actually, and he said that even if I did get the glucose monitor, I'd still have to carry my kit with me and check regularely. apparently quite a few people have had a problem with things like reliability with it. (maybe they just need to do some tweaking if it is still relatively new?)

I would love to get a pump that had a monitoring device built into it as one unit!

Well, may be I expected too much by having both pump and sensor on me!I don't want to criticize the CGM at all, having in mind the long time these companies have spent on testing and trying this device especially,I just want you to have a clear idea that even at this stage it is not a perfect one!

Bizonia, I surely hope the instructions do mention to check also with a glucometer? If not, this would be a terrible (and very dangerous) misheap of that system

The instructions say that 2 calibrations with a regular meter are needed per day,but of course I check my glucose levels more often(6-10 times)and I see the differences between the sensor and the glucometer(mine is One Touch Ultra).I am the only one in my country with such device that is why I would like to communicate and share experience in international forums. I feel well if I can help someone with what I know and I hope you to be helpful too.

You are right. We should keep eachother updated and informed. That's why it's really good to use the internet to communicate.

I don't own such a device so can't help you out unfortunately, but I hope and am sure other members may and will put in their piece of opinion and experience with it.
