    Help with sugar levels

Um... Can you introduce me to the numbers of sugar levels (perfect-good-bad)? Since the moment i see the number 50 i freak out  Here we count mmol/l wich are 3,3-5,5 good >3,3 a bit low <3 getting dangerous ~7 could be better >10 bad >13 very bad

So could i get some info then, because i'm pretty lost here...

    Help with sugar levels

    Hey there,

My doctor would like me to stay between 4.6 - 6.4 -- my last 3 month average was 7.0 and he said he'd like to see me get down a bit lower. Also, I find that if I am any lower than 4.0 I start to really get the shakes... :S

It's a good idea to keep an emergency Glucagon kit in the house for emergencies of extreme lows (and that those around you know how to administer it).

Curious, are you on insulin or pills?

    Good luck!

    Help with sugar levels

Thank you for the reply, but that didn't anwser my question I want to know what is the good level on the other scale. I've already seen a number 70 which was normal... Still.. Don't worry about your 7 i've had a 11 once... that was the time i was sick and nothing i did put the sugar levels down... Normaly i stay betwen 4.5 - 8.3(before night)
Hypoglycemia is different again. Normaly i feel a slight weakness in my legs ~3.4 and i pass out at 2.8 but during sumer at camps i'm fine and dandy by 1.8 (that's my all time lowest)
I never carry around a glucagon kit but i do carry my insulin (still don't like the idea of pumps...) All my friends know to inform the amulance to take the glucagon with them (there were times they forgoten it or so i've heard) I can feel when something is wrong very well and i can always counter it with glucose... Though i've passed out on a number of occasions...
In the morn i've passed out with a suger level of >5 and rising... slow organism reaction to rising suger level... bewere of low sugers in the morn!!!

    Help with sugar levels

    Ooops...sorry!

I don't carry my glucagon with me either, but keep it in the house. I've only had to use it once, thank gawd -- I was at 1.2, passing out & desperate. First time EVER.

Good luck with everything and hopefully someone can adequately answer your question.
