Of course, when your blood sugar is high, it is one of the symptoms to be sleepy so ... perhaps that's undiagnosed people who sleep more than 8 hours....

I wish they would take the funds to study ways to heal instead of the every day life habits which are anyway too late to change.

I bet they spend a lot of money in research for medications and healing.
I also think that it's very important to know if we can prevent the disease and how, for the sake of our children.

As for the research itself - it make sense, since maybe when you sleep the body acts differently with regards to insulin. I know that bones are growing during sleep for example.
